A quiet weekday afternoon, mild and windless. Do I listen to the radio, England losing at cricket, or should I go for a little run? Of course it’s no contest.
Jersey’s magnificent west coast, looking south.
Le Pulec, colloquially and accurately known as Stinky Bay.
Of course Marie 🙂 Driving is no fun these days. I recall the Ireland of the 80s when, once out of Dublin, you could enjoy hours of quiet roads and lanes and hardly see another vehicle. Now we’re forever head-to-tail.
Absolutely… I remember summers in Donegal when a car would never pass a walker on the road … the driver always stopped and offered a lift!!! I suppose nowadays the driver would be reported!!!
Well done for choosing the run Roy! I like that among all your lovely scenery you have a ‘stinky’ bay. I’m assuming it’s from all that seaweed in which case I can smell that lovely scent from here!
Thanks Kerry. Each part of our small island has its own special character. The west is generally wilder and historically interesting. Yes, nice of the Germans to leave the islands some useful stuff in exchange for imposing themselves on us for five years.

I suppose by ‘little run’ you mean on 2 legs as opposed to a car trip!!! A lovely place for either!!!!

Thanks Andrea. Indeed, an ancient little place. Not many sunbathers get down here 🙂

Yes Juliann, they also built a lot of anti-tank walls which now make great sea defences 🙂

That was a lovely tour, Roy. I loved the use of the German bunker. Taking something negative and making it positive.
