As a counterpoint to my previous post here is an example of stunning, expert photography with a little serendipity thrown in. Save Our Shoreline Jersey is a ‘watchdog’ group that does great work in monitoring, and where appropriate, campaigning against development that is likely to impact on the natural resources of our coastline or its coastal heritage.

The group’s Facebook page features the work of local photographers, much of which is excellent. And voted the best of the bunch for 2013 is Darren Kelland’s night shot of Gorey Pier with the majestic Mont Orgueil silhouetted in front of an
