As always, you take me to a world I don’t get to experience here in Ohio, USA. I agree, those lanes look perfect for a peaceful jog, and I bet those tunnels are fun to explore.
Hi Carrie, one thing that is very noticeable in a 9 x 5 island is that one’s horizons foreshorten. You automatically appreciate the amount of simple beauty that is packed into a small area.
The lanes are just idyllic to run on. Of course there’s a bit of traffic but the speeds are low, simply because the there’s little gain in speeding over short distances. The Tunnels are a must-visit and I never tire of going around them when I get the opportunity.
Thank you Letizia – Jersey is sure looking at its best right now. I hope our Island Games visitors get the opportunity to see a bit of it next week in between competition.
Ah that’s nice Jenny. Not too many people are patient enough to put up with me stopping and appreciating the little things in life. All too busy getting from a to b, though my jogging group is getting used to me now 🙂
Hi AMB and thank you. Not everyone appreciates the good things about their home city/town/island. The more I read about the millions who are risking their lives daily to leave their homes for a better life the more I appreciate my own home.
I’m really going to have to go to Jersey some day…but in the meantime, I’m enjoying it from a distance. And I do love that song, though the Guns ‘n’ Roses version is probably my favourite 🙂

It played for a long time and I really enjoyed it – then realised it played for a long time because I had it on loop! Very nice indeed 😀

Thanks Jean. A bit of Dylan? Not my all-time favourite troubadour but still a class act back in the day.

Beautiful! It’s very different from Philly, USA. My neck of the woods is beautiful in a different way.
