And now another place I want to visit! I love the narrow streets and stone buildings. That Teighmore House looks like it could be a good setting for a scary book.
Thanks Carrie – like most of our parishes there’s a whole lot packed into a small area, without ever losing the rural ‘feel’. Teighmore was once a boys’ home and I’m sure one or two shadows remain…
Hey Letizia, yes those narrow streets are from the horse-and-cart days all right. We get some very nervous holidaymakers driving hire cars around here 🙂 That cow was a total actress.
Hello Jean. Yes you’re right I guess, well observed. Being a townie (Birmingham) originally I grew up a bit ignorant of nature’s charms. I seem to be drawn to permanent structures that our ancestors once knew.
Hi Cybele – indeed all our parishes have unique identities. Each has its own separate administration which means that, even in today’s world there is loyalty to one’s home parish. I’m enjoying highlighting the best of each.
Loved the tour Roy beautiful images steeped in history and a touch of mystery. I think I have met that cow before, she looks a lot like the girls out there in the paddocks, they have such pretty faces jersey’s. Loved your background music too.
Hi Kath and thank you! Yes, Grouville has its own special character, but there again each of our twelve parishes are lovely in their own individual way. I’m enjoying the ‘twelve parishes’ project. Yes those Jersey cows get everywhere don’t they? As you’ll know the breed is highly regulated here.

Love it, Roy. Fascinating how you focus so much on buildings and history (compared to my emphasis on nature).

Thanks Jill, the cow stood there demanding I took her photo 🙂 Next month is the capital, St Helier – the problem will be what to exclude.

I love all the narrow streets and stonework, too. It looks like a place out of a novel. 😉

Well yes, Jersey is full of inspiration for the writer Juliann – I daresay I might draft a tale of dastardly doings in its quiet corners in time.
