Thanks Carrie – 12 months, 12 parishes all with their own identities and special features. It’s a nice project š

It was really well done. I wouldn’t even know how to begin doing such a thing!

Carrie I am totally hopeless – I can’t work my smart phone – but Smilebox is easy peasy.

Thank you Jill. I’m no photographer but I’m enjoying trying to capture the essence of each of our parishes.

I’m totally charmed !! Lovely work Roy!

Thank you Cybele. It’s lousy photography – really point-and-click with a cheap camera – but it pretty much serves this particular purpose.

These are great! You always show us so many unique sections of Jersey that it seems like such a huge place. Definitely a rich land, with rich culture. And, they have Roy! š

Thank you Britt. Yes, for a 9×5 mile island Jersey is incredibly varied with features and surprises around every corner. Each parish has its own administration and identity. St Clement is the parish where I presently live and I was happy to be able to feature it here.

Roy I really enjoyed this. I especially liked Witches Rock and could imagine a story just looking at it. Wonderful images and even better with music added. Such history in every scene.

Thank you Kath. By all accounts you can see the imprint of the Devil’s cloven hoof in the rock – there are of course legends surrounding it. Every parish here has its wonders š

Thanks Cathy. A particularly gloomy day in St Clement but that lent itself to certain of the locations.

How fun! Witches Rock looks particularly interesting. And everything looks so green and the water so blue (or maybe it’s because we’re still covered in snow here?) Are you having an early Spring or is it normal for this time of year?

Bloomin wet and windy Letizia, that’s for sure. There’s still the chance of a cold snap but generally I think Spring is tentatively coming around the bend.

Spring sounds lovely. Wet and windy a bit less so.

Really enjoyed the slideshow. I think I have probably cycled almost every parish on Jersey, many years ago. What a unique place it is and how lucky you are to live there!

Indeed SV, one just has to ignore the grumblers š You would find much of Jersey pretty much unchanged, especially the rural parishes. It’s a little more built up (notably St Clement) but the ‘green zone’ has survived pretty well on the whole.
