On the Cork side of the border, Dunmurry House settled down for another night, caring not if the weather was fine or foul. It had lived through every extreme many times over, and had survived passably well. It was of sturdy construction and from time to time someone would come along and make repairs and improvements. For instance, modern plumbing and wiring had given it a new lease of life over the years. Then there was insulation, damp proof courses, cement pointing and weatherproofing. It was a fortunate property.

You don’t need the “For instance” 😉

Hi Dianne, hope you’re well. It still needs some work and I’m up to my eyes in NaNo at the moment so 1st Dec is looking optimistic, but sometime in December I’m sure. Just on Kindle to begin with but then I’ll look at POD. Thank you for your support!

Hi Britt, yes I’ve obviously had a long-time mental picture of the house in the story and the designer got amazingly close to it. I hope the words do it justice.
