From Valentine’s Day 1981 to Valentine’s Day 1900. Approaching the former Harcourt Street Station in Dublin the locomotive The Wicklow failed to respond to the brakes. The train ploughed through the buffers and then the outer wall of the station. No one was killed though the driver had an arm amputated later.

Hi Roy, just stArted following your blog having found it when I googled something Jersey related. I worked on Harcourt St in the 90’s and this station was and is, I think, a trendy wine bar.
